Over at the NFC Forum WIMA announces finalists and press conference details for first European NFC Competition.
"The first European NFC Competition has attracted more than 50 high quality submissions from 13 countries including Finland, France, Hungary, Israel, England, Spain, Norway, USA, Germany, Slovenia, the Netherlands, Austria and Turkey, which the judging panel has now whittled down to 14 finalists."

Data collected is transmitted to the guarding company - first by transmitting the keypoint details from the scanner to the mobile phone via Bluetooth and then on to the control centre via GPRS.
